Share
As its multiple names indicate, Brownwort, a plant that belongs to the mint family, is by far one of the most healing herbs on this planet, the common self-heal, heal-all, woundwort, carpenter’s herbs, and blue Curtis, and heart-of-the-earth. In addition, it has been used to treat diseases for centuries. The possible medicinal benefits of the plant can be attributed to several of its compounds, such as flavonoids and tannins.
All parts of the plant are edible. However, it is said to have a slightly bitter taste when consumed raw.
